PURPOSE OF JOB
The Loan Officer Associate works closely with USAA members and the Loan Officers during preparation of the mortgage loan application for submission to the processing team. This includes guiding the member through the initial loan documentation collection process. The Loan Officer Assistant is the entry level position within the Real Estate Originations organization.
Collects documentation from USAA members for loan applications and verifies the accuracy of information provided.
Prepares the loan file in accordance with prescribed work process flows, timelines, quality, and productivity standards.
Provides members with assistance in collection of required loan documentation and informs members of origination process and timelines.
Ensures the accuracy of member data entered in the loan originations system (Cadence).
Meets or exceeds member expectations and target dates within the loan application process.
Performs other loan setup and originations-related tasks as requested. Employee Qualifications.
Bachelor's degree (or equivalent work experience) in Business Administration, Finance, Marketing or related field
Working knowledge of mortgage-related compliance, FHA/VA loans, regulations, and Title/Appraisal review
Prior processing experience
- Ability to balance multiple work priorities in a fast paced work environment -Prior processing experience
- Strong communication, planning, organization, attention to detail, and customer service skills
