Generate sales and contacts in markets they are assigned for the production of home loan application and closings.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responds to telephone and walk-in customer inquiries. Acts as a resource for mortgage information to existing customer base. Interviews loan applicants explaining appropriate mortgage products and selling related bank services. Completes loan applications and related documents. Examines customer financial statements, credit reports, employment profiles and real estate property information to evaluate mortgage qualifications on a preliminary basis. Conducts sales meetings to present United Bank products, rates and policy updates for realtors/ builder clients. Prepares periodic reports of loan origination activity and represents the bank at industry events. Must have transportation to meet with clients on or off site. May conduct constructions inspections. Ability to work varied weekend and evening hours. Responsible for areas of compliance as it related to this position. Undertakes special projects relating to departmental services as assigned.
SALARY: Base + Commission

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelors degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public. Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry. Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Required competency in Word, Excel, Interfaces and Web applications. Must have telephone skills. Ability to successfully pass a background and credit check.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, & REGISTRATIONS:
Required to register and maintain NMLS Unique Identifying Number.
Required to regularly sit, use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, talk or hear. Occasionally required to stand and walk. Rarely stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls. Required to have clear vision at 20 inches or less and the ability to identify and distinguish colors. May rarely lift up to 10 lbs.
